teams & culture

High-performing organizations know that one of their smartest investments is in the people who work for them. Whether the goal is to increase sales or fulfill a mission, people are the chief resource that will propel an organization to success.

Employees are positioned to maximize their impact when a space is carved out for them to further develop their strengths and increase their effectiveness. Similarly, teams perform better when they prioritize learning, embrace new attitudes, and adopt new approaches. Ultimately, investing in people allows an organization to transform a vision into results.

Strengthening Leaders

Workshops and trainings support teams, helping them to make mindset shifts and expand their portfolio of skills to work more effectively within their organizations. Through reflecting, learning, and honest conversations with peers, employees can identify self-limiting beliefs and behaviors and gain new perspectives. Armed with fresh approaches and increased self-awareness, teams can communicate better and adopt new norms to amplify their impact.

Leadership development engagements can be created for both large departments and smaller teams, and are designed to spur growth around current challenges. These learning opportunities can include:

  • Strengthening collaboration

  • Building leadership skills

  • Navigating organizational change

  • Creating a cohesive workplace culture around a shared vision

  • Identifying and prioritizing strategic goals

  • Transforming objectives into an achievable action plan

  • Running meetings more effectively

  • Improving team alignment

  • Clarifying roles and responsibilities

  • Building stronger working relationships

  • Navigating diverse working and communication styles

  • Increasing self-awareness and emotional intelligence

  • Enhancing interpersonal and communication skills

  • Managing conflict and difficult conversations

  • Mastering the delivery of productive feedback

  • Learning stress-reduction techniques

  • Participating in retreats to deepen relationships and increase candor

conflict resolution

The world we live in and the places where we work are constantly changing, which can create uncertainty and discomfort. Shifts in our environment, as well as employees’ different styles, perspectives, and priorities, require the ability to communicate effectively and the willingness to work through differences rather than letting them become divisive.

Conflict is inevitable. At times emotions run high and different viewpoints can become oppositional. We can feel frustrated, not heard or understood, and our relationships become strained and stuck as people cling more tightly to their own perspectives.

Unresolved conflict hurts our relationships and adds to our stress, and it also negatively impacts teams and organizational culture. When not managed effectively, conflict can lead to hostility and a toxic work environment, employee absenteeism, lower productivity, poor morale, staff turnover, and litigation.

Thriving Teams

While conflict can be difficult, it is also an opportunity to create stronger relationships through open communication, seeing multiple perspectives, and listening. Conflict resolution can repair misunderstandings, and it also changes the deeper make-up of a team, as employees know that problems will be addressed and can be worked out.
